Unless you can't pick it up - and we have a solution for that! We are now offering a subscription service for $12.00 for a one-year subscription so that you can receive the paper at your door via first-class mail. Some local residents are lucky to receive it at their door, but others aren't so lucky. That's why we came up with a solution to help you get a copy.

We'll have the low res version up on the site for download in a few days, but if you would like to subscribe, send a check for $12.00 made out to Jack London Mail (not News) to:

Also - in between print time and delivery, there are always things that happen.

The pro-referendum movement for the Oak to Ninth Avenue project is heating up and they have left a petition at Jack London Mail for anyone that wants to sign. Jack London District Association is recommending folks sign the petition, as are the Sierra Club, the League of Women Voters, and other organizations. The project is complex with many issues that will have an effect on our area. You can learn more by checking out A Better Oak to Ninth.

If you haven't seen the 288 Third project lately, they're showing more skin... it's starting to look like a real building, not just a swathe of black covering. Cool!

Special thanks to local food blogger, Fatemah Khatibloo-McClure for writing a fabulous restaurant review on Tamarindo. I like the addition of a restaurant review and hope that we can provide more in future issues.

Please patronize the advertisers - they keep the paper in print!
