Train hits car, then AC Transit bus jack-knifes
While we can't seem to get news from the Oakland Tribune or the SF Chronicle, here's a story in the San Jose Mercury about an incident at Embarcadero and Franklin last night.

Does anyone have a radar gun to check the speed of the trains? Do you really believe they always travel at 25mph or less when going along Embarcadero? I do agree that one should never try to cross the tracks when the arms are down, but as far as "underestimating" how fast the trains are going, I'd question whether 25mph is truly being honored as the limit. It definately will be for the next few weeks, but a month from now I'd be interested in seeing a radar test.

As for the AC Transit bus falling over, the drivers I see along 3rd Street often take turns WAY too fast! Screeching all the way... I guess bad driving finally caught up with someone.
